Virtual Doula Support

Currently, certain hospitals in the Indianapolis area have changed their visitation policies limiting birthing people to one visitor. These hospitals are choosing to count the Doula against this number as opposed to recognizing that a Doula is a part of the healthcare team and should not be counted as a visitor.

We do understand and respect that they are trying to do their best by their patients in this stressful time.

Here at CCD, we also recognize that families may want to utilize the support of a Doula, but are concerned with social distancing and protecting their new families. Therefore, during the Covid19 crisis, we are offering Virtual Doula support options with our Advanced Doula and Agency Owner, Tamrha Richardson CD, CT, CBE (CBI) IPS at locations that are not allowing more than one support person (here in Indy or anywhere!) or for families who simply prefer virtual support at this time.

After all, we respect all decisions!

Advanced Doula Virtual Support includes…

  • A free consultation via Zoom with Tamrha to learn more about the package and to explore your individual needs.

  • Two prenatal visits via Zoom to explore your desires and visions of your baby’s birthday. During these visits, your knowledgeable doula will discuss your birth options with you, supply any resources and recommendations you need in order to be prepared for the big day. Also provided is education on coping techniques, learning about your rights as a birthing family and a review what you have learned while you envision your ideal birth. *

  • Unlimited e-mail, phone and text support throughout your pregnancy – even at night - from the day you sign your contract!

  • Guidance in creating your unique birth preferences to provide to your care provider and nurses.

  • Virtual labor support once labor begins via phone and/or Skype video call. Your doula will stay with you intermittently or continuously throughout your entire birth, helping with suggestions on positions, working through options, providing encouragement and guidance.

  • Immediate postpartum support for one to two hours after baby arrives, explaining any procedures or being available for any questions that arise with your postpartum care or newborn needs.

  • A timeline of the events of the birth from your doula's perspective (Our clients love these timelines!).

  • One postpartum visit via Zoom to celebrate your baby, process the birth and discuss the transition to parenthood, including any necessary referrals.

  • 24/7 availability for up to 2 weeks postpartum for calls and texts. Of course, we will always be here for you after 4 weeks should you really need anything!

    *If hiring after 38 weeks, we can combine visits should parents prefer.

Package fee: $600 - a discount of $600 off the Advanced Doula package!

In-person early labor support add-on for Indy area clients only: $175 - Tamrha will labor with you in your home until you are ready to head to the hospital. Includes one in-person postpartum visit after 2 week quarantine period post birth.
