Birth Doula services

Please Note: Tamrha is only providing Birth Doula support for HOMEBIRTH, SACRED ROOTS BIRTH CENTER and MIDWIFERY CLIENTS at Community North Hospital

Doulas provide non-judgmental emotional, physical and informational support to navigate you through uncertainties surrounding pregnancy, labor, birth and parenting. We help families feel secure in their birth choices by fostering their ideal birth experience, educational opportunities, and introduction to a community network of professionals. Our goal is to clearly outline the options of expectant parents, some they might not know they have. As a Doula, Tamrha’s mission is ensure a knowledgeable experience with continuous support and personal commitment during pregnancy, birth, postpartum & parenthood.

Package Includes…

• Multiple Prenatal visits (see below for packages) to explore your desires and vision of your baby’s birth day. Your knowledgeable doula will discuss your birth options with you, provide any needed education and evidence-based resources, teach coping techniques and review what you have learned while you envision your ideal birth. It’s a hybrid of doula visits and childbirth education classes, saving you time and money in the long run. Tamrha is happy to attend your 36 week home visit with your midwifery team.

• Zoom sessions at any time during your pregnancy. While there are in-person sessions, you might need more time. “Cash in” a Zoom session with your doula and have those chats to go over any questions and concerns that are on your mind.

• Unlimited support throughout your pregnancy via email, text and telephone.

• Guidance in creating your unique birth plan.

• Access to the CCD Client Portal full of resources, evidence-based research, links, videos and downloads only for clients! Great for educational purposes as well as information to use to make the most of the time you spent with your OB or Midwife.

• Continuous labor support in your home, including early labor support if you would like your doula to be with you.

• Immediate postpartum support for one to two hours after baby arrives, including early breastfeeding support.

• Guaranteed “Back-up Doula” in case of an emergency illness, simultaneous births, or long labor. While these occurrences are very rare since Tamrha limits her availability to only 2-3 clients per month, as an Advanced Doula, Tamrha partners with another Advanced Doula back up with years experience.

• A timeline of the events of the birth from your doula’s perspective. Clients love these timelines!

• Photos of the birth (if requested).

• Two postpartum visits in your home to celebrate your baby, process the birth and discuss the transition to parenthood, including any necessary referrals.

• Feeding support via phone and text in the early days as well as resources to local professionals should there be additional issues to work through.

• Discounted Belly Binding and Sacred Postpartum Service in your home after the birth of your baby. See the page on these services here. ($45/$55)

Advanced Doula Package

To date, Tamrha has attended over 276 births.

“I consider an Advanced Doula as a doula who has attended more than 150 births, including VBAC, home birth, water birth, cesarean birth, medicated and unmedicated births, twins, planned inductions and participated in emergent birth scenarios as well as obtaining multiple trainings to stay up-to-date in the birth industry.”

Back-up, while rarely required, is provided by another experienced Doula in the community. All clients have the opportunity to meet the backup via Zoom meeting upon request.

Silver Package $1,500

• 2 prenatal visits

Gold Package $2,000

• 3 prenatal visits

• 2 postpartum visits

Please note - Zoom consultations are free. Things happen, and so rescheduling the meeting within 12 hours, will still be of no charge. No-shows are rescheduled at $25 via Square with payment due before the meeting. Fee taken off package price should you hire.
