The Educated Doula Package
Doulas provide essential, non-judgmental emotional, physical, and informational support to help you confidently navigate the various uncertainties surrounding pregnancy, labor, birth, and the transition into parenting. We assist families in feeling secure and empowered in their birth choices by fostering their ideal birth experience, offering valuable educational opportunities, and facilitating an introduction to a supportive community network of professionals. Our goal is to clearly outline the various options available to expectant parents; some of these options may be ones they might not even be aware they have.
At Circle City Birth Services, our Educated Doulas bring their doula education, dedicated time, and unwavering commitment into each client relationship. Moreover, each Educated Doula and her clients have the unique ability to access the CCBS Owner and Director, Tamrha Richardson. With her impressive 18 years of experience in the field of birth work, which encompasses the roles of doula, clinical homebirth assistant, and Traditional Birth Companion, and now as she embarks on her journey as a Matrona Midwifery student, Tamrha stands out as one of the most experienced birth workers in Central Indiana.
The overarching mission of a CCBS Doula is to ensure that every client enjoys a knowledgeable and supportive experience while receiving continuous guidance and personal commitment throughout their journey during pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and all aspects of parenthood.
Package Includes…
Two Prenatal visits to explore your desires and vision of your baby’s birthday. Your knowledgeable doula will discuss your birth options with you, provide any needed education and evidence-based resources, teach coping techniques and review what you have learned while you envision your ideal birth. It’s a hybrid of doula visits and childbirth education classes, saving you time and money in the long run.
Monthly Virtual calls at any time during your pregnancy. While there are in-person sessions, you might need more time. “Cash in” a session with your doula and have those chats to go over any questions and concerns that are on your mind.
Unlimited support throughout your pregnancy via email, text and telephone from the moment you become a CCBS client.
Guidance in creating your unique birth plan.
Access to the CCBC Birth Client Portal full of resources, evidence-based research, links, videos and downloads only for clients, currated by the CCBS owner and director! Great for educational purposes as well as information to use to make the most of the time you spent with your OB or Midwife.
Continuous labor support in your home, including early labor support if you would like your doula to be with you.
Immediate postpartum support for one to two hours after baby arrives, including early breastfeeding support.
Guaranteed “Back-up Doula” in case of an emergency illness, simultaneous births, or long labor. While these occurrences are very rare since our doulas limit their availability to only 2-3 clients per month, we ensure that there is always a nother CCBS doula waiting in the wings to serve as a backup should the need arise.

One postpartum visit in your home to celebrate your baby, process the birth and discuss the transition to parenthood, including any necessary referrals. Your doula will always be available to you at any time after your baby arrives if you need a phone call or a virtuial visit. Should you determined that you need more support, please see our Postpartum services provided by the CCBS owner and director.
Feeding support via phone and text in the early days as well as resources to local professionals should there be additional issues to work through.
Educated Doula Investment: $1000
$600 deposit to be completed at contract signing
$400 balance due at 36 weeks of pregnancy
